Starting Over is Doing Me Some Good

toolsrss

So far, the whole starting over with the bankroll thing is off to a decent start. While I’m not up huge over the course of two days, I’ve made more than 3 buyins of profit at the $10NL and $25NL tables. That’s even counting a couple of tournament buyins that I didn’t cash in. And while I said that I was going to be pretty conservative in moving up in limits, the $25NL tables actually can reward you much more for good play while still offering terrible opponents and not too much risk. I’m going to run the bankroll up to at least $500 before I even take an early shot at the $50NL game though.I figure that I’ll jump up early and if I lose say 3 buyins right away I can drop back down and build it back up quickly. Overall, it seems that there’s a good mix of players even in the SH games now. Those are the ones I prefer as they allow more play overall. Anyway, there are those that have at least a bit of a clue about what cards to play and so are tight. However, they don’t know that you have to loosen up in SH play and I punish them for it, constantly stealing. Then there are your typical loose-passive players that you can just play your big hands straightforward and they’ll pay you off. I actually prefer the tight players as I can stack them if they play back at me and I hit a big flop with the garbage I sometimes like to play. The loose players can go on a run of cards and demolish a few buyins of yours in quick fashion.]So anyway, things are progressing basically as they should and my game is improving steadily I feel.
