Last.fm
Alan, April, and I were just putzing around in chat earlier and discovered that we all had accounts at Last.fm. In case you don’t know, it’s one of those ‘social networking’ sites in the same vein as say blogger, flickr, etc… except in this case it’s based on music. You download a plugin if you’re using winamp or iTunes (some programs like Amarok for linux have it built in) and then it just creates lists of the music you listen to. Everything is available as rss feeds, you can pick friends to associate with and compare music to, and you can create groups. So we went ahead and created a WPBT group for everybody to join! So do it and we’ll have laughs at everybody’s musical tastes. I mean, I listen to Ashlee Simpson and Alan listens to Billy Joel!
