I’ve gotten the photos from my trip to Florida uploaded into a set at Flickr. I actually meant to take more than I ended up doing. But most of the ones I took came out fairly well. I also bought a book on digital photography. So I’m going to learn how to use all those fancy settings on my new camera. It should really improve the quality of my shots versus just using the auto settings.

Apparently Ned Devines is a pretty decent little irish pub chain type bar that has pretty decent live music normally. I’m heading there tonight to meet up with random people but not drink too much. Especially because I’m going to the location in Centreville. That’s about 30 miles away but since I won’t be driving until like 9pm on a Saturday night there wont’ be traffic and hence not a bad trip. Details in the morning!
[UPDATE] Ended up not going and just chilled at home. I do plan on making it to that spot at some point!

Yep I’ve been here for a few days enjoying the warmer temps and sunshine. It really was only hot last Sunday, my first day here. Today actually was the first that I took the time to go for a run. I’ve been sleeping in every day and it’s finally starting to fill my reserves. I think that once I go home that I need to start forcing myself to go to sleep earlier. Even though I function fine with the amount of sleep that I normally get, I probably could be so much happier and more alert if I start getting more.
I’m going to be heading to one of my favorite restaurants on Sunday. The Melting Pot is a fondue place where you can get the traditional to the wild. From just a cheese appetizer to a four course feast. I highly recommend it to anybody. I’ll be joined by someone that for now I’ll just refer to as ‘curls’. She’s just a very nice lady that I met a couple weeks ago. Don’t know what it will bring. I have to admit that I’m not ready to completely jump in with both feet anyway and she’s in a similar situation to mine. So no need to rush anything.

Well yea they really do. In fact, they rock so hard that I’m already wanting to get a new one! Yea I know that I just bought one and that it does indeed replace my windows box 100% other than some games. It’s just that I should have shelled out just a bit more for an iMac. More memory, faster processor, built-in
iSight, built-in flatscreen monitor, etc… I really would like the mac pro, but I can’t really justify to get that big honking thing. Apple needs to come up with an intermediate desktop box for those of us that don’t really need more power than an iMac but like the expandability of a desktop case.
But anyway, I’m now comfortable with most of the new apps that I’ve found and how the system itself works. The nice thing about Mac apps is how they all are just pretty. Yes functionality is more important in the end but if you can combine features with a nice spiffy interface it makes it soooo much more enjoyable!
